I walk past this restaurant weekly and finally made a reservation with our neighbors who also love Italian food. It was the greatest experience all away around. From the moment we arrived til we left. It truly felt like being in Italy. Super cozy! Food was delicious, wine was spectacular. Can't wait to go back

It was our last night in Naples and my wife suggested we try an Italian restaurant. Well you don't have to ask me twice. Yelp suggests a few but Caffe dell' Amore is just a few blocks from out hotel so it's a winner.
It's located on the ground floor of what appears to be an office building. Parking is plentiful.
When we walk in we're greeted by Dominic, the owner. A nice touch. We don't have reservations and at first Dominic says he may not have a table for us, but after a look around to brings us to a table for two.
Just a note, a few minutes later a couple of ladies come in and we overhear the same discussion and a table appears for them.
Good move Dominic, you surely know how to make people feel important.
Ok the food, my wife has the eggplant, and I had the pasta with lobster.
The eggplant, according to my wife was delicious. My pasta had a mountain of lobster on it. The entire meal was on point.
Typically we will pass on desert, but here we just couldn't resist so we split their version of. Cannoli. Their version means they don't fry the shells but bake them on premise. This along with a capicino was the perfect way to end the meal and our short working vacation in beautiful Naples .
So when you're in the area this restaurant is a must. Just a note, when Dominic says "oh I don't think I have a table available ", don't worry, just smile and wait a moment , I'm sure he'll find a great table for you.
Thank you Dominic for a spectacular old style Italian dinner. -

From the moment we arrive we're made to feel welcomed by Dominic. The place was busy but the service doesn't miss a beat. And the food is incredible. I had the wild boar and my wife had a crab pasta dish. There's a real authentic feel to the place. This is my favorite Italian restaurant in Naples. I just wish they would open for lunch!

Absolutely loved this place. This was our second time and both times we've come close to the last seating available, so it's been relatively calm and quiet when we have. We went on a Tuesday night and were the only people there, which was nice and gave it an intimate feel. It's not very big, so even if it was full I don't think it would be too loud or crowded.
Kashe was our server and was so sweet. She explained all of the specials and was extremely patient and friendly throughout the entire meal. 3 of us decided to split three different dishes because we wanted to try them all! Between us we got the White Truffle Sacchettini (another person in our group also got this), the Lasagne alla Bolognese and a special, another lasagne. I can't quite remember what it was called, but I believe it was something like a chicken piccata lasagne. It had chicken, wine, butter, lemon and capers if I'm remembering correctly. It sounded really interesting so we went for it!
To start, we got a burrata and the Spinach Delizie, which was listed as the house special. The burrata was great - a reasonable portion although definitely a bit small to have split between 6 people! Luckily we all had heavier dishes so we didn't need more. As an appetizer for one person it would have been perfect. Personally I didn't love the spinach - the flavor was very strong and a mix of spinach and pesto almost.
Regarding the entrees, they were all fantastic. The sacchettini was probably my favorite. The sauce was super flavorful and rich. The portion size was great and it was topped with a ton of mushrooms.
The lasagne alla bolognese was our second favorite. Loved how authentic it was and the portion size was perfect. The presentation was a little messy, but the taste was fantastic. The menu included a disclaimer about not including marinara, which made one of us a little nervous, but it was 100% delicious with it's meat sauce instead of what you find normally which is tomato/marinara sauce all over the place.
Our least favorite was unfortunately the special. While we did like the taste, we were glad we hadn't gotten it individually because the flavor was a bit overwhelming and somewhat sweet. It tasted a bit like a lemon pound cake, which would have been a lot if it was the only thing any of us had been eating. However, splitting it between three people was ok.
Overall, we all really enjoyed our meal. We also got the baked zitti and two other dishes that I can't remember off the top of my head. Everyone was super satisfied and not too full.
Kashe brought us over some cookies once we were done (oatmeal) and was kind enough to offer some suggestions about what to do in Naples and seemed genuinely interested in our plans and giving us ideas for what to do while we were there. She told us about the wall art and how it was hand painted and truly seemed passionate about the restaurant and Florida. She was extremely hospitable and made our meal extra special!
